Alejandro Adam
Login to view DISC.Alejandro Adam is a Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Albany Medical College and the co-founder of Praxis Biotechnology. His research focuses on developing novel therapeutics for inflammatory diseases by studying signal transduction and kinase mechanisms. He earned his PhD from the University of Buenos Aires.
Outside of his primary research, Alejandro is deeply invested in fostering the next generation of scientists. He is passionate about mentorship, creating collaborative research environments, and has spoken about the importance of authenticity and celebrating culture in the lab. He also values scientific integrity and transparent data.
He is commercializing a topical cream developed in his lab to treat ocular rosacea, which is now in clinical trials.
