Angelika Eggert

Angelika Eggert is the Medical Director and CEO of University Medicine Essen. An internationally recognized expert in pediatric oncology and hematology who earned her medical degree at the University of Duisburg-Essen, she previously directed the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at Charité in Berlin for nearly a decade.

Her professional passion lies in translational research—bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and patient treatments, particularly for neuroblastoma. She is a strong advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration and aims to provide individualized therapy for every patient. There is no publicly available information about her personal hobbies outside of her professional interests.

Professor Eggert has been a member of the prestigious German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina since 2011.
