He holds a mathematics degree from Yale and a PhD in journalism, blending analytical and narrative skills to report from Central Africa and beyond.
Outside of his reporting, Anjan is a multidisciplinary artist who uses his experiences in conflict zones as subjects for his visual art. He recently received a MacDowell Fellowship to advance his literary and artistic projects.
