Anup Singh

Anup Singh is the Founder and Managing Director of Sonata Finance, a leading microfinance institution he established in 2006. Considered a pioneer in Indias microfinance sector, he has over two decades of experience dedicated to making finance accessible and sustainable for the economically weaker sections, particularly women. He previously spent eight years at the Cashpor group.

He holds an MBA in Finance, a Masters degree in Economics & Sociology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Development and Management. He also trained with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, a foundational experience in the microfinance space.

Anup is credited with establishing Sonata as a leading micro-finance institution in Uttar Pradesh, significantly improving the earning capacity of thousands of households.
