Barry Williams is the Director of Parks and Recreation for Collier County, where he oversees a $52 million budget and a large team. He is responsible for the planning, development, and operation of the countys parks and recreational programs. He holds an MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Based on his work, Barry is passionate about providing the community, especially children, with opportunities for outdoor recreation and sports. He has been instrumental in launching new youth sports initiatives to encourage kids to be more active and engaged with nature.
He oversees a department with 190 full-time employees, 150 seasonal workers, and 125 contracted instructors.
