Benjamins passion for sustainability was ignited during his university studies in Kerala, India, where he witnessed the environmental and social impacts of the textile industry. This formative experience shaped his career and commitment to making the fashion industry cleaner and more equitable. He continues to travel to India regularly.
He co-founded Lebenskleidung in 2008 to solve a major problem for smaller ethical fashion designers: gaining access to sustainable fabrics without prohibitive minimum orders.
