Bethany Nichols is the Research Director at Stanford Universitys Clayman Institute for Gender Research. A sociologist with a PhD from Stanford, her research focuses on gender inequality, the economic consequences of trauma from sexual violence, and how inequality is maintained in hiring and admissions processes. Her work has been featured in The Economist and The New York Times.
Prior to her doctoral work, she was a lead kindergarten teacher in New York City.
