Bill Mathis is the Chairman for both the Coalition of Franchisee Associations (CFA) and the North American Association of Subway Franchisees (NAASF). A multi-unit, multi-brand franchisee for over two decades, he owns several Subway restaurants in Minnesota and is expanding Caribou Coffee locations in Florida while also co-founding a new pizza concept.
Outside of his extensive work in the franchise industry, Bill is a self-described competitor who values integrity and persistence, principles instilled in him from a young age. To manage stress, he enjoys hitting golf balls and spending time with his wife, Michelle, who is also his business partner in their new ventures.
Interesting fact: Bill started his journey as a franchisee by purchasing his first Subway restaurant when he had only $500 in his bank account.
