Carla Kimmel-Smith

Carla is a strategic operations executive with over 20 years of experience, specializing in leading multi-site manufacturing networks for medical devices. A Drexel University alumna and certified Master Black Belt, she excels at deploying Lean Management Systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across global facilities, managing significant P&L responsibilities.

Outside of her professional life, Carla is passionate about mentorship and fostering the next generation of talent. She is a strong advocate for introducing young girls to engineering, believing a single mentor can change a lifes trajectory. Her daughter is pursuing a career in music, which she actively supports.

Interesting fact: Carlas own journey into engineering was sparked by a single conversation she had in the 4th grade.
