Cheryl Gomez-Smith is the Senior Vice President of Upstream at Imperial Oil, bringing over three decades of global leadership experience from ExxonMobil. Her expertise spans operations, safety, and risk management across the US, Russia, and Kazakhstan. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Tulane University.
Her interest in engineering was sparked at a young age by her father, a maintenance foreman, which inspired her to pursue a career focused on technology and solving real-world problems.
