Dale Gubbels

Dale Gubbels is a long-standing leader in the recycling industry, having founded Firstar Fiber Inc. and championed the circular economy for decades. He was named the 2023 Advocacy Champion by the Nebraska Recycling Council. Dale holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which he has leveraged into a career focused on environmental sustainability.

His commitment to community and environmental causes is extensive, demonstrated by his leadership roles as President of the Board for Whispering Roots and President of the Nebraska League of Conservation Voters. He also serves on the boards of the Green Omaha Coalition and the Business Ethics Alliance, showcasing a deep dedication to civic engagement.

Dale has been a key figure in developing Nebraskas recycling infrastructure since the late 1990s.
