David Winfield

As a board member at Southport Acquisition Corp. , he recently helped take a company public. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he starred in both baseball and basketball.
Outside of business, Dave is a dedicated philanthropist, speaker, and author. He was the first active athlete to establish a charitable foundation and has received numerous awards for his community service, including the Roberto Clemente Award. He is passionate about mentoring youth and enjoys family time with his wife and children.
Unique fact: Dave is the only athlete in history to be drafted by four professional sports leagues: MLB, the NFL, the NBA, and the ABA.
