With a background in Computer Science from Brown University and as a Y Combinator alumnus, he has twice founded companies in the restaurant technology space. His work led to his inclusion on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
Originally from Okemos, Michigan, Dean was a competitive soccer player for Brown Universitys team. His personal interests include skiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and watching movies. He is the son of Wendy and Steven Bloembergen and has two brothers.
He previously co-founded Marble Technologies, which created self-ordering kiosks for cashier-free checkouts at restaurants.
