Outside of her technical role, Elif is a passionate advocate for diversity and mentorship. She co-founded the Women’s Initiative at Wolfspeed, an organization committed to encouraging, developing, and supporting women to become leaders in innovation. During her high school and college years, she played basketball, which she credits for teaching her discipline and teamwork.
Interesting fact: Influenced by her geologist father, she developed a strong interest in crystalline materials from a young age, which directly shaped her distinguished career.
