Etsko Schuitema

Etsko Schuitema is the founder of the Schuitema Group, an organizational transformation consultancy. He is the originator of the Care and Growth leadership model, a framework he developed from his initial research into trust and conflict within South Africas gold mines. Colleagues and clients describe him as passionate, knowledgeable, and awe-inspiring.

Etsko explores the deeper dimensions of human purpose, excellence, and consciousness. This interest was evident early in his life when he was part of the Transcendental Meditation Society at university. Beyond his corporate work, he is a teaching shaykh in the Darqawi Shadhili Sufi order and runs a Sufi Centre near Johannesburg.

His globally recognized leadership model was born from his anthropological research into the uniquely challenging working conditions inside South African gold mines in the 1980s.
