Evelina Giobbe

As Executive Director of the United Way of Steele County, Evelina Giobbes specialties include nonprofit capacity building, board development, and fundraising. She earned a Mini MBA in Nonprofit Management from the University of St. Thomas and is dedicated to program development and evaluation.

Her earlier career was focused on victim advocacy, including a role as Director at WHISPER (Women Hurt in Systems of Prostitution Engaged in Revolt). There, she oversaw programs assisting victims of domestic trafficking, contributed to public policy campaigns, and conducted research.

She is a published author and speaker on the topics of cultural pimping and commercial sexual exploitation, and has been active in this field since the 1990s.
