G Sundar

G. Sundar is the Director of BITS Pilanis Hyderabad Campus and also serves as the Director for Off-Campus Programmes & Industry Engagement. A long-standing senior professor of Chemistry with a PhD from Cornell University, he has been instrumental in transforming the universitys Work Integrated Learning Programmes, demonstrating his extensive experience in higher education leadership since joining BITS Pilani in 1987.

His academic interests include Thermodynamics, Quantum Chemistry, and Statistical Mechanics. Having held numerous roles including Dean of Student Welfare and Chief Warden, he has developed a deep understanding of student motivations and aspirations. There is no publicly available information regarding his personal hobbies or non-work-related activities.

He has been a key leader in expanding BITS Pilanis Practice School programme, which is one of Indias largest and most extensive university-industry linkage programmes.
