Gerald Chertavian is the founder of Year Up, a highly successful non-profit that empowers underserved young adults. An accomplished entrepreneur, he also co-founded and sold a technology company before dedicating his career to social impact. He is a Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School, where he earned his MBA with honors, and holds a BA from Bowdoin College.
Outside of work, Gerald is a dedicated mentor, having been a Big Brother since 1985. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys skiing, road biking, surfing, and scuba diving. He and his wife live in Cambridge, MA, and he values spending time with his family.
