Giovanni Cenderello is the Director of the Infectious Diseases unit at ASL-1 Imperiese, specializing in viral and bacterial infections, HIV, and hepatitis. A graduate of the University of Genoa, he has also pursued advanced courses in epidemiology and tropical medicine at institutions in London.
He is passionate about the human and scientific challenges of medicine and is dedicated to fostering cohesive, collaborative teams. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he prioritized creating a strong support system among his medical and nursing staff to navigate the crisis together.
During the early pandemic, he was separated from his young daughter for 48 days after she became one of Ligurias first pediatric COVID-19 cases.
