Gopal Shah

Gopal Shah is a product manager at SketchUp, where he is the PM lead for the SketchUp for Web program and collaboration efforts. A University of Pennsylvania alumnus, he previously led the Google Earth team for five years, spearheading a complete rewrite of the app and co-founding the animation suite Earth Studio.

Outside of his main product roles, Gopal enjoys photography in the mountains around Boulder and spending time with his dog, Decker. He has also collaborated with organizations like the BBC and NASA to help bring stories to life with maps and has worked as a film consultant.

He co-created Earth View, a collection of 1,500 striking satellite images featured on everything from Android phones to the worlds biggest billboard in Times Square.
