Gordon Bloor

Gordon Bloor is a successful Bath-based businessman, Chartered Surveyor, and bestselling author. Writing under the pseudonym Douglas Westcott, he pens the popular historical fiction series "The Westcott Chronicles of Bath. " He has spent his career in commercial property investment, having founded a multi-million pound public company and sponsored the Bath Property Awards.

He has lived in Bath for over 40 years and is deeply involved in the community alongside his wife, Elizabeth. They support local charities for the homeless and youth, and he previously served as a Director of the Theatre Royal. Gordon is a fan of Bath Rugby and enjoys dining out locally.

Interestingly, his novels are semi-autobiographical, drawing on his experience of being orphaned at 17 and his mothers family history as a Polish immigrant.
