Dr. Haifa Jamalallail is the President of Effat University, Saudi Arabias first private non-profit womens university. With a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Southern California, she is a pioneering figure in womens higher education in the Middle East, having led the university since 1999 and previously serving as the first Dean of the Girls Campus at King Abdulaziz University.
Inspired by her mothers insistence on education, Dr. Jamalallail is a passionate advocate for youth engagement and womens empowerment. She has worked to combat stereotypes about Muslim women on the international stage, viewing education as a tool for liberation and a catalyst for social change. Students often describe her as a caring, fair, and innovative leader.
She was nominated as one of the 1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 for her work in social justice.
