Hunter Armistead

Hunter Armistead is the co-founder and CEO of Pattern Energy, a leading renewable energy company. With a background in electrical engineering from Rice University, he has nearly 30 years of experience in the energy sector, including a decade overseeing the North American renewable energy business at Babcock & Brown. He now leads Patterns strategy, growth, and capital formation.

Originally from Houston, Hunters connection to his alma mater, Rice University, is strong. During his time there, he was a member of both the football team and the cheerleading squad. He met his wife, also a Rice graduate, while he was a cheerleader and they now have three sons.

Unique fact: After playing on the Rice University football team for two years, he joined the cheerleading squad.
