Jacquie O'Brien

Jacquie OBrien is the Director of Communications and Community Change at Respect Victoria, leveraging her expertise in social license and policy reform to drive positive social change. An inspiring and creative leader, she has a Masters in International Development, Environment & Sustainability. Colleagues describe her as passionate, empathetic, and calm under pressure.

Personally driven by her works mission, Jacquie is a passionate advocate for preventing gendered violence and promoting reproductive health and environmental causes. She dedicates her efforts to elevating the voices of survivors and fostering community-led change, viewing anti-racism as a foundational element of her anti-violence work.

She is also the Chair at Project Respect Australia, where she recently led the release of a report driven for, by, and with survivors of sexual exploitation.
