James Ashton

A former City Editor for several major UK newspapers, he is an authority on UK capital markets, corporate governance, and economic growth. He earned his Masters from the University of St Andrews.
Outside of his corporate roles, James is deeply committed to promoting childhood literacy. He serves as a Board Trustee for the reading charity Coram Beanstalk. His passion for literature extends to his personal life, where he makes time to read modern fiction and has previously edited his university newspaper.
In memory of his late son, he co-founded and chairs Oscars Book Prize, an annual award for the UKs best childrens picture book.
