Jani Djokic (she/her), MES

Jani Djokic is the Chief Executive Officer of the Na-Cho Nyak Dun Development Corporation. She champions a "human-first" approach to business, focusing on ESG-centric investment and innovative partnerships. Jani holds a Masters Degree from York University and is committed to investing in circular economies and fostering economic self-determination for First Nations.

Outside of her executive role, Jani is deeply involved in the community, making efforts to build relationships by being present, whether having tea with elders or participating in a hunt. She supports youth development through initiatives like a skateboard-making program designed to teach entrepreneurial skills to local young people.

As a non-Indigenous leader of a First Nation corporation, she has successfully reframed her perspective to use her unique position as a strength to innovate.
