Jill Featherstone

As Senior Director of Museum Learning, Engagement, and Community Access at the Des Moines Art Center, Jill Featherstone focuses on creating inclusive and meaningful experiences. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Michigan State University, she develops programming that fosters reflection and helps diverse audiences connect with art.

Jill is passionate about making the museum a welcoming space for everyone, from children to adults. She actively develops creative, hands-on activities and community access programs designed to nurture wonder, spark curiosity, and break down barriers to art appreciation for all visitors, including those on the autism spectrum.

She champions creating career pathways for women in the arts and sciences through educational outreach and video projects.
