Jim Floyd

Jim Floyd is a seasoned public safety professional and the Assistant Chief of Operations for the McKinney Fire Department. With a career spanning since 2005 within the department, he has progressed through every rank. He holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Outside of his direct fire service duties, Jim shows a strong interest in public policy, emergency management, and current events, indicated by his engagement with organizations like FEMA and publications such as The New York Times and Forbes. He also maintains a connection to his alma mater, Western Illinois University.

He previously served as the departments Accreditation Manager, showcasing his expertise in maintaining high operational standards.
