John Brouder

John Brouder is a Specialist Advisor on Diversity & Inclusion for NHS London and the former long-serving Chief Executive of North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT). A nurse by background and a business graduate, he has over forty years of experience in NHS and social care leadership, focusing on transformation.

He is deeply passionate about social justice and social policy, an interest he has held since early in his career. This commitment is reflected in his professional focus on equality and his personal reading, which includes books on race and society.

Under his leadership, NELFT was the only NHS trust in England to consistently close the experience gap between its minority ethnic and white staff for three consecutive years.
