John Geiringer is the Regulatory Section Leader for the Financial Institutions Group at Barack Ferrazzano, advising on regulatory, governance, and investigative matters. Described as possessing unique leadership skills, he earned his JD from DePaul University College of Law. He is also the founding Co-Director of the Center for National Security and Human Rights Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
John co-hosts the "A Rabbi and a Lawyer Walk Into a Bar" podcast, exploring religion, news, and society. He is deeply engaged in Holocaust education, teaching on the subject and co-directing a consortium for the study of the Holocaust and the law. He is active in his local Jewish community and has two children with his wife, Jen.
He co-edits and contributes to several books, including "Countering the Financing of Terrorism: Law and Policy" and a forthcoming book on the Holocaust and the law.
