John is a globally recognized leader in healthcare and marketing, holding board and leadership roles at numerous prominent oncology foundations, including Target Cancer, Fred Hutch, and SARC. He focuses on accelerating curative therapies by fostering collaboration between industry, government, and academia. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford.
Described by colleagues as a "consummate connector" with "inspiring energy," John is passionate about patient advocacy and creating a unified voice for those affected by cancer. In 2020, he and his children launched the Hopper-Belmont Foundation, which recognizes and supports exceptional early-career cancer investigators.
John is the Founding Co-Chair of both the GI Cancers Alliance and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) Rare Cancer Coalition.
