He was the founding chairperson of Redress Scotland, developing the public agency from its inception. He holds an MBA from Glasgow Caledonian University and was awarded the Queens Police Medal (QPM).
As the founding chairperson of Redress Scotland, he was responsible for establishing a new national agency to provide financial redress for survivors of historical abuse.
