Jonathan Schneider

A Java Champion and author, he created the open-source projects OpenRewrite at Netflix and Micrometer at Pivotal. He holds a B.S. from Truman State University and a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification.
Outside of his extensive tech career, Jonathan is a U.S. Army veteran with over eight years of leadership experience, including two tours in the Middle East. This military background has significantly shaped his approach to decentralized leadership and strategy in the corporate world. He also has a background as a violinist.
He is a two-time recipient of the Bronze Star for his military service.
