Kalley Armstrong is the founder of Armstrong Hockey, an Indigenous-owned business focused on youth mentorship. A Harvard University graduate with a Ph. D. in Anthropology, she has experience with the Toronto Maple Leafs and a deep commitment to fostering partnerships between Indigenous communities and industry.
As a member of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation, her work is deeply personal. She is a former NCAA Division 1 hockey player passionate about using the sport for cultural empowerment and is an active advocate for brain health and concussion prevention.
Her doctoral research explored the lived experience of an Indigenous Elder who played hockey while attending a residential school in the 1950s.
