Kevin Wassegijig is the Chief Executive Officer of the Nawash Economic Development Corporation, leveraging an Executive MBA to lead Indigenous community advancement. His extensive career includes executive roles at Indigenous Works and the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, consistently focusing on sustainable economic development and empowerment for First Nation communities.
Deeply connected to his Anishinaabe heritage, Kevin is passionate about community service and youth development. He co-founded the Wikwemikong Thunderbirds Foundation to support young athletes and was instrumental in establishing the annual Canadore College Pow Wow, where he was the first head dancer and student association president.
