Lee Gibson is a seasoned financial executive who recently retired as CEO of Southside Bancshares, a role he held since 2017 after a long career with the bank starting in 1984. His expertise spans financial management, investment portfolio oversight, and treasury functions. A CPA, he holds a BBA in accounting from Southern Methodist University.
Deeply committed to his community, Lee is actively involved in numerous East Texas organizations. He serves as President of The Tyler Junior College Foundation and is an executive committee member of the Tyler Economic Development Council. His civic engagement also includes roles with the Boy Scouts, Bethesda Health Clinic, and the Texas Bankers Association.
He formerly served for six years as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.
