Louise Converse is a strategic advisor at Harvards Kennedy School and Media Strategist for author Robert Putnam. After a 17+ year career as a university administrator, she made a significant career pivot in 2012 to establish Artisan Cheese Company, a nationally recognized gourmet shop in Sarasota, Florida, fulfilling a lifelong passion.
Outside of her dual careers, Louise is deeply engaged in the culinary world, particularly with artisanal American cheeses. She is passionate about educating customers, telling the stories behind the food, and creating a community hub through her shop, which offers classes and events. She earned a BFA from the University of Hartford.
After more than a decade in business, she recently saved her cheese shop from closing through a successful community fundraising effort and support from an angel investor.
