Luz Angela Sierra is the founder of Palenque Colombian Food in Brooklyn, a company born from her passion for healthy eating and Colombian heritage. Leveraging her background in Film and Television from NYU, she grew Palenque from a food truck into a thriving restaurant and production kitchen for gluten-free arepas.
Outside of her culinary achievements, Luz is passionate about arts and culture. Her restaurant doubles as a vibrant cultural hub, hosting musicians, painters, and film screenings to support the local arts community. She previously ran a travel agency in Colombia and is a survivor of a life-changing accident.
After surviving a five-story fall down an elevator shaft, she decided to pivot from her film career to launch her food business during her recovery.
