Malcolm Wilson

Malcolm Wilson OBE is the founder and Managing Director of M-Sport, the world-renowned motorsport engineering firm. A former British Rally Champion himself (1994), he has led M-Sport to multiple World Rally Championship titles, most notably as the head of Fords factory team. In 2025, he was appointed FIA Deputy President for Sport.

His lifelong passion for motorsport extends to his family, with his son Matthew also being a former WRC driver. Deeply committed to his Cumbrian roots, he has deliberately built his global business in his hometown of Cockermouth, establishing a state-of-the-art evaluation centre and employing hundreds in the local community.

Unique fact: Despite having zero formal qualifications after school, Malcolm Wilson built a world-championship-winning company and was awarded an OBE for his services to British motorsport.
