Marco D'Amore

Marco is the Head of Engineering at Magical, with a history of building data products from the ground up. He was the second engineering hire at Transform, where he built the backend APIs and infrastructure, before transitioning into leadership and guiding his team through an acquisition by dbt Labs. People who have worked with him describe him as quick-to-learn, responsible, and hands-on.

Outside of his direct professional role, Marco is a proud husband who publicly celebrates his wifes career milestones and achievements. He values family and expresses gratitude for the people he works with, highlighting the importance of building a great team culture.

He played a pivotal role in defining the modern "Semantic Layer" category within the data space during his time at Transform.
