Marla is the founder and CEO of the legal-tech company 9to5 Legal Docs, which was a finalist in the 2024 ABA TECHSHOW Startup Alley competition. She is a board-certified tax attorney with over 15 years of experience in M&A and tax-efficient corporate structuring, holding an LL. M. in Taxation from Northwestern University.
Outside of her legal and entrepreneurial work, Marla is a self-described "free thinking" person who often surprises people when they learn she is a lawyer. A lifelong fan of Fleetwood Mac since high school, she still owns their original CD. She also reflects on the unspoken professional culture and ethics among attorneys.
