Dr. Melina Uncapher is the CEO of SETA-ED, a former educational neuroscience professor at Stanford and UCSF, and a co-founder of the R&D nonprofit AERDF. With a Ph. D. from UC Irvine, her work focuses on translating the science of learning into practical, technology-driven solutions for educators, underpinned by expertise in data privacy and security.
Her passion for neuroscience was sparked at age 13 by her grandmothers experience with dementia, inspiring her lifelong work. She has taught her "Science of Learning" bootcamp to over 50, 000 people globally and has explored topics ranging from media multitaskings effect on memory to the cognitive benefits of action video games.
