Melissa Hefty

Melissa Hefty is the Director of Recruitment and Retention for Wylie ISD, bringing extensive experience from her previous roles as a principal within the district. She holds a Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelors from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Her public focus is deeply intertwined with her professional life, showing immense passion for supporting educators and celebrating student achievements within the Wylie community. She is a vocal advocate for the districts core values and culture.

She has dedicated over a decade to Wylie ISD, progressing from a campus principal to a district-level director.
