Michael Mainelli

Educated at Harvard and LSE, his career began in aerospace research before moving into finance. He recently served as the 695th Lord Mayor of London. Outside of his extensive professional duties, Michael is an author and has a deep passion for maritime heritage. He and his wife spent over two decades restoring the "Lady Daphne, " a classic 1923 Thames Sailing Barge. He also has interests in skiing, woodcarving, and glassblowing, and is actively involved in numerous charities.
His career began in aerospace and cartography, where he was a research scientist in "rocket science" before pivoting to finance and economics.
