An Electronic Systems Engineer with an executive education from Wits and London Business School, his career spans telecommunications, broadcasting, and satellite industries, including a decade as CIO for the National Lotteries Commission.
Outside of his regulatory role, Mothibi is deeply invested in South Africas development, stemming from personal interests like reading his fathers book on the nations transformation. He has previously authored a publication on establishing a space program as a vehicle for economic transformation in South Africa.
