Nuno Sousa

Nuno Sousa is a Pulmonologist and Intensivist at ULS Guarda, and was recently appointed the Director of the Emergency Department in June 2024. A graduate of the University of Coimbra, he is also a lecturer at the University of the Beira Interior and is actively involved in clinical research.

Outside of his medical career, Nuno is 45 years old and has a stated interest in literature and film. His favorite book is "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" and his favorite movie is "The Shawshank Redemption", indicating an appreciation for broad historical narratives and classic cinema.

He oversees the Research Unit at ULS da Guarda, guiding clinical and scientific investigation at the institution.
