Prahlad Ho

Prahlad Ho is the Chief Medical Officer at Northern Health, where he has worked for over 18 years, starting as an intern. A clinical haematologist with a PhD from the University of Melbourne, he also chairs the Research Executive Committee and has led the development of diagnostic, cancer, and pathology services.

He is driven by the motto that “no patient should be disadvantaged by the postcode they live in” and is passionate about ensuring equitable access to excellent healthcare. In his limited downtime, he enjoys coffee, specifically a skinny latte, and reflects on how much the hospital has grown over his tenure.

He recalls having to avoid kangaroos to get into the building as a medical student at Northern Health.
