Rafael Santana is the President and CEO of Wabtec Corporation, a global leader in rail technology. A native of Brazil with a degree in engineering, he has over 25 years of leadership experience at companies like GE, where he had a proven track record of transforming businesses and driving growth.

Originally from Brazil, Rafaels values of hard work and resilience were instilled by his parents. He is a former competitive swimmer who moved to the United States for a year during high school to compete, an experience that taught him adaptability and grit in an unfamiliar environment.

He moved from Brazil to the U.S. for a year in high school to be a competitive swimmer, learning English and adaptability along the way.
