Roberto Swazo is a board-certified physician in pulmonary, critical care, and internal medicine at Orlando Health, where he specializes in pulmonary hypertension. He serves as the Pulmonary Hypertension Director and is the Associate Program Director for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.
A native of Puerto Rico who grew up in Chicago, Roberto is a former amateur boxer, a hobby he pursued during his undergraduate studies. He started college at the young age of 16 and is fluent in both English and Spanish, maintaining close friendships from his time studying abroad in Dominica for medical school.
He was inspired to pursue medicine at age 11 after witnessing his mothers courageous and successful fight against metastatic breast cancer.
