Simon Templar

Elizabeth Stone is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Netflix, overseeing product, engineering, and data. She joined in 2020 and became the companys first CTO before her 2026 promotion. An economist by training, she holds a PhD from Stanford and a B.S. from MIT, bringing a unique, data-driven perspective to her role.

Outside of her demanding executive role, she is passionate about cycling. She has mentioned that being an athlete helps her to be more grounded and present, which she feels makes her a better manager and leader.

Before entering the tech industry, she worked as an equity derivatives trader at Merrill Lynch.
